Bio

I officially began playing music (trumpet) in my hometown of
Meridian, MS at 10 years old in 1978.  I began playing guitar at 15 years old in 1983.  I moved to Atlanta in June 1989 at 21 to pursue a professional music career.  I began playing professionally in August 1989.  Since then I've crisscrossed the country from Austin, TX to Hoboken, NJ and Tacoma, WA to Fort Lauderdale, FL playing over 2200 career gigs and countless miscellaneous performances.  I've traveled abroad performing gigs in South Korea, Okinawa, Japan and Johnston Island in the South Pacific Ocean.  I've written hundreds of songs since approximately 1983.  I've logged thousands of hours recording music.  I've produced and engineered my own music as well as other artists' music.  I've played solo or been a front man, partner or hired-gun-side-man in a variety of bands since I was seventeen years old.  I've worn every hat possible with regards to playing music for a living.  I've been the booking agent, manager, road manager, promoter, driver, roadie, sound man, light man, product designer, salesman and master of ceremonies among a dozen others.  I've been signed to recording, management and booking contracts.  I've opened for major label acts and played festivals and showcases all over the southeast.  I've played on recordings that received widespread college radio play and critical acclaim.  I have done printed press, live radio and television interviews.  For 22 years I have professionally played the good, the bad and the ugly.  I continue to write, record and perform professionally and am available for hire in a multitude of capacities.  Please contact me if I may be of service.
