My home town is Meridian, Mississippi.  It's a beautiful city and surrounding area located in Lauderdale County where I grew up on a 68-acre piece of heaven to a Mississippi boy about 300 miles from where I now live in Atlanta.  I plan to return to my home place as a permanent resident someday.

Jimmy Rodgers - The Father of Country Music, and Country Music Hall of Fame inductee number one, was from Meridian, MS.  This has been a tremendous source of pride for Meridian for decades.  His story is an amazing early 20th century tale.

Peavey Electronics - An international electronics company that builds professional music equipment played around the world by some of the biggest names in music.

Grand Opera House - This is an amazing place in Meridian.  Built at the turn of the 20th century, the opera house has e been restored to it's full potential.
